At Belfast Music Lessons we provide tuition for grade exams in all of our subjects. These can help you progress as a musician but also give you a step up when applying to music courses such as GCSE/A Level or Uni. Each exam also holds UCAS points.

Rockschool uses modern pop/rock songs throughout its syllabus along with music theory tests. You buy one book with all the content, pick 3 songs and perform them to a backing track provided. Then a few technical exercises, rhythmic recall, scales, improvisation etc

LCM is for the singers specifically  as its music theatre based and requires you to pick 3 contrasting songs within a particular time period and perform them with some costume and a little acting. There is no music theory but the examiner will ask a few basic questions regarding the pieces you choose to sing.

Some students prefer the music theatre, acting and singing go hand in hand. Learning music theory for Rockschool might sound intimidating but honestly is very achievable with our full proof method!
